Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance at this time. Upon request, I can provide a detailed superbill for clients who wish to submit services to their insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. HSA/FSA payments do not require a superbill. Clients will receive an invoice for their records.
Are payment plans available?
Yes! Payment plans are available for package services. You can choose to pay in installments, with the first payment due before your initial session. Please reach out if you have any questions or need support arranging a payment plan that works for you.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes, I offer secure virtual sessions for clients located in states where I’m legally permitted to practice. If you’re unsure whether we can work together virtually, feel free to reach out and I’ll be happy to check for you.
If I live outside of Iowa or Illinois, can I still work with you?
Possibly! Whether I can work with you depends on the state where you live. Some states require dietitians to be licensed before providing nutrition counseling, while others do not have licensure requirements or have more flexible regulations.
Please submit a contact form and include your state of residence. I'll review your state's requirements and let you know if I'm able to work with you.
Do you offer only packages or single sessions too?
In addition to packages, I also offer single sessions for as-needed support. The single session fee, whether an initial or follow-up, is $110.
What’s included with the session fee and/or packages?
Your payment includes the session and a follow-up “Embody Plan” outlining your goals, nutrition & lifestyle recommendations, supplement and/or lab testing recommendations, and supporting resources. You also have access to the Practice Better app for food, movement, mood, and sleep logging as another tool.
Can I bring my child or partner to an appointment?
Absolutely. Children and partners are welcome to attend appointments. Please be mindful that my office space is small, but there is a comfortable reception area available if needed.
Where are you located?
I practice out of Refuge Wellness Collective — a collaborative space of practitioners dedicated to supporting the health of women and families. The environment is warm, welcoming, and aligned with holistic, evidence-based care.
What should I expect during my first session?
Your initial session will focus on understanding your health story, goals, symptoms, lifestyle, and nutrition habits. From there, we’ll create a personalized plan that may include dietary strategies, supplement support, functional lab testing, and lifestyle shifts tailored to your needs.
What types of concerns do you support?
I specialize in women’s health, including hormone balance, fertility, pregnancy/postpartum nutrition, PCOS, gut health, and hormone issues. If you’re unsure whether your concern is a fit, feel free to reach out!
